Flush Bracket 2732: Clungunford   

Flush Bracket on stone wall, E. side of road, 150 links N. from junction of road to school, Clungford [sic] [2GL] - estimated location of SO 3991 7880 replaces previous suggestion of SO 398 787; but note that FB was reported as returned to OS, and subsequently "refixed on Shirecliff TP" (in 04/1961 ?).

This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 474.0320 feet [144.4850 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Church Stretton to Brecon levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on stone wall, E. side of road, 150 links N. from junction of road to school, Clungford.

Roadside wall to N of School Lane appears unaltered, but is insubstantial. (Chance FB could now be obscured by earth/vegetation).

wall present may be old enough, doesn't look v suitable for FB; could be buried. Now called Clungunford.
