It was included on the Daventry to Great Linford levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on E. face of Air Shaft, 4 chains S. from Tunnel Hill Farm.

1925 may well be the year this one was destroyed. The existing air shaft (odd looking thing) has a stone engraved with the year 1925 inset into it.
