This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 237.2310 feet [72.3080 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Daventry to Great Linford levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N.E. face of railway bridge over canal, 10 chains S. from Sewage Works.

This one could still be there, but behind a railway fence and therefore on railway property. I couldn't find a way through the fence nor could I see the FB on the bridge by looking through the fence.

This one is still listed on the OS benchmarks website, but as 'G57'!

Bridge appears original. No sign of fb. on towpath, E side. Is it perhaps under build up of soil or just possibly on W side of canal.
