This fundamental bench mark was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 843.1450 feet [256.9906 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Bridford to Beer, Bridford to Yelverton and Dulverton to Bridford levelling lines.
Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68)
This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 843.1450 feet [256.9906 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Beer to Bridford, Bridford to Dulverton and Yelverton to Bridford levelling lines.

Not an easy find - no giveaway playpen, and almost buried. Located on a roadside embankment and partially in a thorn hedgerow. Good to see the height tag still in place. Photos at:
