This fundamental bench mark was used during the Second geodetic levelling, Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 529.8909 feet [161.5107 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Bridge of Orchy to Arrochar and Loch Leven to Bridge of Orchy levelling lines.

Third Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1956-68)

Hunted for a good while, feverishly uncovering a great many buried stones and logs, but no trace. I must practically have camped right on top of it walking the WHW 20 years ago...
