This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 36.4906 feet [11.1223 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Connel to Loch Leven, Lochgilphead to Connel and Tobermory to Connel levelling lines.

Stopped off on way to Barra. In what appears to be the staff car park. Drove up to it but got a funny look when driving away. Small chip off one vertical side, not really damage that would affect its use. Height tag in place but blank. Photos at:
