This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 618.4259 feet [188.4962 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Caernarvon to Conwy, Conwy to Dyserth and Holyhead to Conwy levelling lines.
