This fundamental bench mark was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 305.4730 feet [93.1082 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Cranford to Castor and Great Linford to Cranford levelling lines.
Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68)
This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 305.4730 feet [93.1082 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Castor to Cranford and Cranford to Great Linford levelling lines.

The top is just level with the grass verge, will be very difficult to find in summer when the vegetation starts growing.

Bit of a stinker to find as it is like a surface block and level with the ground it is exposed for now
