It was included on the Flax Bourton to Sharpness, North Petherton to Flax Bourton and Upton Lovell to Flax Bourton levelling lines.

This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 465.3830 feet [141.8487 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Flax Bourton to Sharpness, Flax Bourton to Upton Lovell and North Petherton to Flax Bourton levelling lines.

Living in the North, this is the first FBM I've seen in a "playpen!" Much easier to find because of the fence but unable to get near to the pillar and could only see the top because of the brambles and nettles. I thought this was overgrown until I visited North Petherton the next day....! Nice to finally see a height tag though.

Kept behind railings on the southern outskirts of Failand (which is not too far from Flax Bourton). Tag still there, showing 465.38 ft.
