Second Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1946-51)
This fundamental bench mark was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 152.6571 feet [46.5299 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Gimingham to Whitton Green South and Thornham to Gimingham levelling lines.
Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68)
This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 152.6338 feet [46.5228 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Gimmingham to Whitton Green North and Thornham to Gimmingham levelling lines.
Visited on 23rd January 2016 by jonglew. Grid reference: TG 27083 36704. Condition: Slightly damaged.
In a rough area at side of access road to farm, brick bats etc stewn around. Pillar damaged and neglected with height tag gone. Protective railings gone, the old concrete posts standing sentinel. A sad little pillar just hanging on in there. Photo at:

Found location thanks to other logs, but it is completely covered this time of year I could just make out the top edge, so gone with others as far as condition goes.
