Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68)
This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 764.7425 feet [233.0935 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Machynlleth to Newtown and Newtown to Church Stretton levelling lines.

On the grass verge, E side of road - just S of the crossroads road sign. Not a mini pillar, rather a flat concrete structure with a circular lid.
