Possibly the easiest FBM to find as it's in the middle of the pavement. I wonder how many passers by know what it is! http://maps.jochta.com/benchmarks.php?id=935

Went to see FBM after visit to the new Ordnance Survey HQ, FBM is outside the OS HQ used from 1841 to 1969. the FBM looks a bit like a grave with the bolt and block like a tomb? apart from the whole thing being set on a raised plinth there is no protection fence etc. all parts in good condition without damage which is surprising as it seems very exposed.

Classic 2GL FBM pillar now within paved enclosure. Manhole cover adjacent covers buried chamber. Outside former OS offices (now courts).
