This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 228.2466 feet [69.5696 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Loch Leven to Tobermory and Tobermory to Connel levelling lines.
