Earliest style of Fundamental Bench Mark, dating from around 1912 - square pillar; top bolt without lettering; cast plaque on front referring to "Height of Bolt". Also 1999 GPS plaque on back of pillar. In good condition, though somewhat overgrown, with standard green railings, at side of busy road (B3404, former A31).

Located at the side of the B3404, very easy to find. FBM is is good condition, the "playpen" is however looking a bit old and rusty.
