This fundamental bench mark was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 663.8270 feet [202.3345 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Liskeard to Yelverton and Yelverton to Bridford levelling lines.
