Flush Bracket on cottage, Benson Lock [2GL] - FB returned by Thames Conservancy to OS, presumably in 1913 when lock cottage rebuilt; FB then reused on 2GL Hemel Hempstead to Windsor Castle line.

This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 150.2700 feet [45.8023 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Wallingford to Buckland levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on cottage, Benson Lock.

The lock-keepers cottage is dated 1913. Since the line was levelled in May-June 1912, I suspect that this FB has gone. However, I didn't visit the site to be absolutely sure.
