The BM is visible on the 1957-59 1:1,250 OS Plan at 123.27' on the NE face of a boat house to the N of the Caversham Bridge Hotel. A 1904 photo of the hotel showing the rather grand boat house (with sign Bona's) which presumably is the same one that would have had the FB is visible here http://i3.getreading.co.uk/incoming/article8687449.ece/alternates/s1227b/52032-Caversham-Bonas-Hotel-1904.jpg. The hotel closed in July 1986, shortly afterwards gutted by fire. Replaced by what is now the Crowne Plaza hotel. Nb. I have since learned from a local resident that the boathouse as shown in 1904 was still standing in 1986.

The original Caversham Hotel stood where the current Holiday Inn now stands. Nothing remains of the old buildings.
