This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Brockenhurst to Freshwater (IOW) levelling line. The surveyor's description was W face, NW angle of Buonavista Cottage.

If Vista Farm Cottage, apparently lost to extension. I happened to meet the builder who arrived as I did, but he didn't do the prep work, and the house owner wasn't home. Cottage to E is un-named, heavily vegetated at NW angle, & seemed a less logical location.
