Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68)
This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Boston to Immingham levelling line. The surveyor's description was S face of Main building, N side of road.

As others have noted, access is not possible. Road muck (white pigment) covers the Bracket but it is clearly distinguishable from the road. (As a bonus did a little jig for the security camera that was following me :D )

Huntsman Tioxide, S face of tower, 70m N of road. Visible from road with binocs, 2m L of window. Readable with telescope: legible digiscope photo. Didn't seek access having read others' logs.

Logged on 28th November 2006 by Brisey. Condition: Unreachable but visible.
This bench mark is just visible (bring binoculars!) from outside an employee entrance NW of the main entrance. It is near the base of a tall tower-like brick structure, part of Huntsman Tioxide works, whose chimney is a well-known Grimsby landmark. It is rather mucky from passing works traffic but appears to be otherwise good.

Original buildings now behind security fence of Huntsman Tioxide Ltd. Security guard suggested ringing 01472355335 and arranging access with Health and Safety rep. Not available at my visit.
