This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 301.5480 feet [91.9118 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Matlock to Broomhead Moor and Matlock to Macclesfield levelling lines. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N. face of Marsden's Store, Causeway Lane, Matlock.

Visited on 10th October 2004 by RodS. Grid reference: SK 3022 5984. Condition: Destroyed.
Information from older inhabitants of the area indicates that Marsden's Store was at 22 Matlock Green (now converted to an art gallery). FB does not ever seem to have been marked on any maps. Location visited several times, but no trace found of FB.
