On reflection (I walk this way to work most days) the cycleway may well be the old road. There's a bridge over a stream at this grid ref, which has an old brick arch. Sadly the S parapet has gone, with a few pieces of masonry lying around. The N parapet is behind barbed wire and under a thick cloak of ivy, and anyway the descr says S side of road.

Path prob re-routed when dual c/way built: stream culverted under path & A47. No trace of bridge: concrete headwall S side of A47. Neaest BMs are cuit BM on SE face of lodge, TL15249853 & Nail at S end of underpass, TL15329844 (q.v.)
