This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Bishopston to Carmarthen, Carmarthen to Haverfordwest and Haverfordwest to Carmarthen levelling lines. The surveyor's description was NW face of house No 50, SE side of road.

Houses go up to no. 45, then there's a new house in it's own grounds that may have replaced houses 46-50. Not very clear, since some houses are at road level whereas new building is above the road. There's also a suspiciously vacant plot below the house which may also be significant. Although I didn't check the new house, there's no BM marked on the map - I reckon it's probably gone.
