This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Cowbridge to Bishopston levelling line. The surveyor's description was N face of bridge abutment, SE side of road.

I think it's gone since the current bridge dates from 1965 according to the plaque. There are massive piers still standing from what appears to be a railway bridge just south of the current bridge- no sign of FB here either though, although if it was here it could be buried
