This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Immingham to Hibaldstow levelling line. The surveyor's description was Centre buttress of railway bridge, S side of road.

This was my third visit to try to spot a flush bracket at track level as it is clearly not at road level. This time with good sunshine from the west and a pair of binoculars, I gave the central buttress a thorough check, but nothing is visible. Maybe it's covered by ballast, but could be destroyed.
