This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 149.9710 feet [45.7112 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Navenby to Hibaldstow levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N. face of the Monks Arms Inn, Caenby Corner, Ermine Street [Roman Road].

I too remember this hotel in a state of dereliction followed by refurbishment. This has been completed, externally at least, as the pub never reopened as far as I can remember, and is now up for sale again. No FB present.

On previously visit, noted as derelict and rendered. Noted today in passing that the building is being refurbed: no rendering, some new brick & stonework - and no FB
