This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 279.1620 feet [85.0886 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Hemel Hempstead to Buntingford levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N.E. battlement of Bow Bridge over River Ver.

Visited on 15th November 2013 by FRI. Condition: Good.
FB is low down near the ground and covered by light grass and weeds, wall is cracked around the area but the FB is firm and in good condition.

Visited on 29th March 2013 by dal. Condition: Good.
NE face of the SW parapet - as per OS database - contrary to the 2GL description. Towards the NW end. The mortar around it is disintegrating, but the FB is still firm.

Visited on 29th October 2005 by mystic189. Condition: Probably destroyed.
