This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 306.7370 feet [93.4934 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Hemel Hempstead to Buntingford levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on culvert at junction of road to Westmill, S.W. side of road.

Visited on 9th March 2008 by RHW. Grid reference: TL 372 276. Condition: Probably destroyed.
No culvert headwall SW side of road at 372276 nor 374271. The latter seems more likely but ditch has been piped in SW from A10 with no headwall.
