This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 81.5380 feet [24.8528 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Mordington to Belford levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N.E. parapet of bridge, at junction of road to Smeafield Railway Station.

Railings, no parapet, old bridge apparently gone, unless buried under new.
