This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 158.4260 feet [48.2882 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Melbourne to Waltham on the Wolds levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N.W. angle of The Falcon Inn, Long Whatton.

Visited on 9th November 2004 by RodS. Grid reference: SK 4786 2351. Condition: Probably destroyed.
Long Whatton, Falcon Inn, N face near NW angle. Nothing shown on LandLine. Note that this FB was not included in the Third Geodetic levelling of the line from Waltham to Melbourne, so was presumably already considered lost by the 1950s. However, the outline of the top of the FB appears to be just visible under the rendering - if so, the rest of the FB would be below footway level.
