The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on S.W. face of cottages, N.E. side of road, near junction of road to Coston Lodge East.

This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Castor to Waltham on the Wolds levelling line. The surveyor's description was SW face of Woodbine Cottage, NE side of road.

Visited on 2nd April 2006 by RodS. Grid reference: SK 8596 2398. Condition: Destroyed.
No sign of cottages at or around SK 871 231 as per original suggested location. [IGR has since provided 3GL information for FB 1238 - "SW face of Woodbine Cottage, NE side of road" - SK 8596 2398, but there's now no cottage there, either]
