Flush Bracket on gate pillar, entrance to The Limes, Hoole Road, 1 chain N.E. from junction of Kilmorey Road, Chester [2GL] - note location improved to SJ 415 674 from SJ 4157 6740; FB reported 05/06/1954 as "partially covered by kerbstone, which was removed [to allow levelling] and then replaced".

It was included on the Daresbury to Wrexham levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on gate pillar, entrance to The Limes, Hoole Road, 1 chain N.E. from junction of Kilmorey Road, Chester.

This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Oswestry to Daresbury levelling line.

Logged Visits
Visited on 18th February 2009 by Calico. Condition: Destroyed.
No gate pillars on Hoole Rd. Brickwork shows where entrance would have been. Entrance now on Kilmorey Park (sic) Rd.

Visited on 24th September 2005 by asteroth. Grid reference: SJ 415 674. Condition: Couldn't find it.
No sign of an FB on gate pillars.Pillars made of local stone which were very weather-worn.
