E face, N buttress of Branscholm Bridge, 45' N of N edge of River Tweed [3GL]; SE parapet of Blanxholm [sic] Bridge, 49.7m SW from fence junction, opposite SE face - estimated location confirmed by BM 120.79m on MasterMap; on 1930s bridge; in any case, description does not fit with predecessor bridge at NT 474 126.

It was included on the Hawick to Moffat levelling line. The surveyor's description was E face, N buttress of Branscholm Bridge, 45' N of N edge of River Tweed.
