Second Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1912-21)
This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 25.1340 feet [7.6608 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Troon to Newlyn (Tolcarne) levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on E. face of wall, junction of Queen Street and Western Promenade Road.

FB removed, on inspection found, as per previous log, the FB shaped hole in wall where it has been removed, a bit worrying as the next one in the line (1816) has also been vandalised.

Gone but enjoyed my fish and chips from The Pirates Rest on the corner of Daniel Place and Lower Queen Street, just off Penzance Promenade alongside The Lugger Hotel.

I found the hole in the wall were the FB had been. You can just make out the shape of the FB in the cement at the top.
