Second Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1912-21)
This projecting bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 394.3800 feet [120.2070 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Upton Lovell to Flax Bourton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Bracket on abutment of railway bridge, near Warminster Railway Station.

Logged Visits
Visited on 1st April 2013 by jonglew. Condition: Probably destroyed.
Looks to be a modern brick-built parapet to the bridge and no sign of any projecting brackets. Have to assume this one has been destroyed.

Visited on 19th February 2007 by Brisey. Condition: Couldn't find it.
There is a bridge close to the railway station, but my GPS pointed to a location further west where there is not one now. This was disappointing as I have yet to see a projecting bracket.
