Flush Bracket on N. face of S.W. battlement of bridge over river, E. end of Spring Gardens, opposite S. angle of Fairfield Road, Buxton [2GL] - FB reported destroyed 29/12/1932; evidently later replaced by G3598 nearby.

This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 937.0250 feet [285.6052 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Matlock to Macclesfield levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N. face of S.W. battlement of bridge over river, E. end of Spring Gardens, opposite S. angle of Fairfield Road, Buxton.
