Flush Bracket OSBM 2552: Coedpoeth, 27 Heol Maelor   

Flush Bracket on S.W. angle of building, junction of Rhôs-berse Road [2GL]; wall, NW side of cross roads, 0.3m from SW angle, S face - the cottage (No. 27) has been demolished, but worth checking if part of the cottage wall survives as a roadside wall.

This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 621.2720 feet [189.3637 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Wrexham to Oswestry levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on S.W. angle of building, junction of Rhôs-berse Road.

Visited on 24th December 2008 by superswifteagle. Condition: Probably destroyed.
There is a house in NW quadrant of the junction but it is well set back so I suspect there was an earlier building at the corner. Now just a pavement and new wall with junction box. A shame since the other 3 corners of the junction have original walls & building. Unlucky FB!
