Not sure about this grid reference. I also checked the Plough Inn but no sign of FB. I suspect 2645 was on a building diagonally opposite the Railway Inn (see G3033) over the road from Swan Lane which would fit the name. There is a BM marked here on the 1938 map on oldmaps.co.uk. The site is now an Aldi & bus station

It would help if the description gave the side of the road. Close to the GR is the Plough Inn and I thought I detected the bottom inch or so of a FB below a wooden board covering some cables but after firtling with my fingers whilst pretending to tie my laces I'm not so sure. Anyway this is on the SE face of the pub. There is no FB that I could see on the NE face. It could have been where the garage on the SE side of the road is or where the bus station is which is labelled Swan Ct Cotts on MasterMap.
