This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 387.0070 feet [117.9597 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Forcett to Wolsingham levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N.E. parapet of bridge over railway.

wall largely collapsed/knocked down. Cleared some ivy and vegetation. Agree with others this will require several hours work to confirm what i think we suspect, the FB has GONE!

A winter job when the weeds have died down.Many knocked down stone blocks hiding in the undergrowth.The bracket may be on one of them.

Yorkshire. I agree with previous comments. It just could still be there but if so I favour buried rather than hidden by vegetation.

No sign of FB, but could be buried or behind vegetation. BM 117.97m still marked on MasterMap. Note that SE end of NE parapet has collapsed. Cut BM found on SW face of NE parapet at NW end (BM 118.04m on MasterMap).
