It was included on the Melbourne to Stafford levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N.W. gable of building at Bretby Mill, N.E. end of Bretby Park.

Logged Visits
Visited on 1st April 2006 by RodS. Grid reference: SK 3098 2327. Condition: Destroyed.
Revisited. Spoke to architect living on site who was responsible for planning the conversion of the old mill buildings to residential use. He remembers seeing a cut BM (but not the FB) and has confirmed that the relevant building was demolished and rebuilt.

Visited on 14th August 2004 by RodS. Grid reference: SK 309 232. Condition: Couldn't find it.
First of several searches, none of which found any sign of the FB, though BM 73.58m is shown on LandLine. [Postscript: IGR has since confirmed the location from OS 3GL data now at TNA - "W angle of building at Bretby Mill (disused), NE side of road, Repton Shrubs" - SK 3098 2327]
