This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 178.2890 feet [54.3425 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Warwick to Daventry levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on S. face of battlement of canal bridge over stream, E. from Wharf Cottage.

Visited on 26th September 2009 by Shantavira. Condition: Probably destroyed.
Wharf cottage now lost to housing estate. Would have expected FB in centre of the short battlement. Cleared the ivy but couldn't find any sign of FB. Metal detector drew a blank too. Not on OS database.

Visited on 7th November 2004 by RHW. Condition: Couldn't find it.
Didn't find Wharf Cottage, but bridge looks right. Ivy-covered, searched underneath, no FB found.
