This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 436.4820 feet [133.0397 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Penrith to Wetheral levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on S.E. angle of lodge at entrance to Low Plains.

Third Geodetic Levelling, England & Wales (1950-68)
This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Wetheral to Penrith levelling line.

Logged Visits
Visited on 28th September 2009 by Calico. Condition: Probably destroyed.
Not found on Lodge Cottage. There are extensions and whole building appears to have been rendered from top to bottom with thick 'skirt' around the base. Friendly lady knew nothing of a fb.
