This projecting bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 124.5380 feet [37.9592 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included as a side level on the Basingstoke to Wallingford levelling line. The surveyor's description was Bracket on N.E. angle of Sewage Pumping Station.

Logged on 17th May 2008 by dal. Condition: Good.
Location as in the OS database. Not sure if it has been moved or if the original 2GL log is not quite right. Actually now on the SE angle of the Bel and the Dragon restaurant, which occupies the part of the building on the west of the site. You pass the PB as you go to the museum buildings. Vgc.
