This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 141.0570 feet [42.9942 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Boscastle to Grampound levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on rock N. side of road near Kellygreen.

This flush bracket was used during the Third geodetic levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Troon to Boscastle levelling line.

Logged Visits
Visited on 2nd May 2010 by RHW. Grid reference: SX 0448 7587. Condition: Good.
On rock outcrop N side of road, 6.5m W from W end of fence. 1ft above ground.

Visited on 19th August 2009 by dal. Condition: Good.
Second time lucky. This part of the road is under a thick canopy of trees. The old quarry is marked by a drain. I then paced the c. 7m, and there was the FB trying very hard to blend in with the moss covered rock verging the road.

Visited on 23rd August 2006 by dal. Condition: Couldn't find it.
No joy. There is some recent clearing (excavation of verges); the rest is ivy covered. Not clear where it was/is.

Visited on 31st July 2005 by iainmac. Condition: Couldn't find it.
Roadside 100m to NW looks most promising.
