This projecting bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 330.7610 feet [100.8160 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Upton Lovell to Flax Bourton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Bracket on base of abutment of occupation bridge over railway, at Bull Inn Farm.

Logged Visits
Visited on 26th July 2011 by Hardy. Grid reference: ST 6264 6158. Condition: Probably destroyed.
The bridge is in what is now the middle of a field; the footpath goes over it, although it must be noted that the ground level is now so high it almost touches the top of the roof! One could go underneath the bridge but only by crawling commando-like.

Hence I suspect if the bracket is still there then it is well-buried. See for a visual reference.
