This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 177.8360 feet [54.2044 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Winchester to Upton Lovell levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N.W. angle of goods office, Milford Goods Station, N.E. side of Southampton Road, Salisbury.

Large new residential/retirement development has recently sprung up on corner of Tollgate and Blakey Rds. Milford Goods Station, and with it the FB, have long since departed for a better place in the sky!

Visited on 6th September 2011 by Chunter. Grid reference: SU 1535 2963. Condition: Destroyed.
Milford Goods Station was demolished in 1968. The area is now occupied by Milford Trading Estate.
