This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 21.3580 feet [6.5099 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the North Petherton to Flax Bourton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on abutment of bridge at Uphill Railway Station.

Visited on 16th April 2013 by Hardy. Grid reference: ST 3258 5780. Condition: Unknown.
Bracket could be still in existence, but possibly at track level? However, the bridge has been rebuilt post-war and a cutmark is evident on the top - see bm48181 and http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3418743 for a photo. Seems likely to be a replacement?

High parapets, couldn't see FB from above. Bridge possibly rebuilt.
