This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 53.2650 feet [16.2352 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the North Petherton to Flax Bourton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on S.W. angle, Nailsea Railway Station Signal Box.

Busy line but no Signal Box. Most of the smaller signal boxes on this line have long gone. Interesting in that most of the brackets in this series follow the railway line. The station platforms are over the traffic light controlled single track road bridge.

Visited on 16th September 2011 by RHW. Condition: Probably destroyed.
