It was included on the Thornford to North Petherton levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on base of abutment, Cartgate Bridge.

The location is now the site of Cartgate roundabout, where the A3088 leaves the A303. There are no remains of the bridge. The A3088 follows the line of the GWR Taunton - Yeovil railway.
