This flush bracket was used during the Second geodetic levelling, England & Wales, and was levelled with a height of 52.8730 feet [16.1157 metres] above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the North Petherton to Flax Bourton (Axmouth to Perry Farm Branch) levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on N.E. face of school, S.E. side of road, Hambridge.

Nothing really to add - although my memory has it as still being used as church/village hall. Whatever, it is still there and in good condition.
