It was included on the Abergavenny to Brecon levelling line. The surveyor's description was Flush Bracket on E. end of stable at the Half Way Inn, 11 chains S.E. of Middle Gaer.

FB1089 was found on the E end of what is now the Kestrel Inn, on the N side of the A40. It is currently painted black on a black painted wall, so not obvious - easy to miss at a quick glance.
